Opened on April 16, 2007, The Source August Town was the first of five community resource centres developed by Jamaica National Building Society (JNBS) islandwide. Each franchise relies on partnerships with concerned private and public stakeholders within their respective communities because it is they who are responsible for the day-to-day operations of the centres to ensure sustainability.
On August 9, 2011, after four years under the management of JNBS Foundation, The Source August Town was handed over to The UWI Township Project and re-named The UWI Mona Source.
We’d like to wish The UWI Mona Source Happy Anniversary, on this their 5th year. Keep up the great work and continue to be the beacon of hope for residents of the August Town community!
