US$45,000 Health Care Boost
Carlton Barclay (right), Deputy General Manager, Jamaica National Building Society (JNBS) and Director, JNBS Foundation congratulates Professor Michael Lee, Professor of Medicine and Gastroenterology and Head of the Department of Medicine, The University of the West Indies (UWI) and Dr. Francene Gayle, Consultant Physician and Neurologist at The University Hospital of the West Indies and Lecturer in the Department of Medicine at UWI. They were at the signing of the funding agreement between the UHWI and the JNBS Foundation at the UHWI on June 19.
The JNBS Foundation will provide US$45,000 in grant funding to acquire the Caribbean’s first plasmapherisis machine, used in the treatment of critical neurological disorders at the Hospital.
