Officially Opened!!! Boutique caters to empowerment of women from underserved communities…

Dress for Success Jamaica and the Jamaica National Building Society (JNBS) Foundation officially launched a Boutique to provide disadvantaged women with professional attire this morning (September 17th). Nestled in the heart of Half Way Tree, this boutique provides a comfortable environment in which beneficiaries can be properly suited and trained for their entrance into the working world. Dress for Success not only outfits women for their job interview, but provides interview instruction, mentorship and job-readiness training to properly prepare candidates on their way to economic independence. Additionally, if their clients have successfully attained the job they will be provided with a week’s worth of professional attire.

JNBS Foundation Board Director Mary Smith said that the partnership is providing women with the necessary tools and skills to empower themselves. Dress for Success Jamaica has played an integral part of hundreds of women who have benefitted from the programme thus far.

The mission of Dress for Success Jamaica is to promote and encourage the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing professional attire, a network of support and the career development tools to help women thrive in work and in life.
