Harnessing the Power of the Wind
"A wind turbine is capable of powering over 2,000 Jamaican
homes", says Kimroy Bailey, an awarding winning blogger and Renewable Energy Consultant. What does this mean? This means that by using the wind, and other renewable energy sources such as the sun (solar power) and water (hydro electricity), Jamaicans can have reduced electricity bills,
which ultimately could lead to a boost in
Jamaica’s manufacturing and export sectors. This also means that our island home will be less dependent on imported oil.
Do you think Jamaica is doing
enough to make better use of its renewable energy sources?
In an article entitled, ‘Funding an Offshore Wind Farm’, Kimroy Bailey speaks about the feasibility of harnessing
the power of the wind as a viable alternative energy source for our
country. Check out his article and oh, remember to follow @KimroyBailey on Twitter
